Garlicky green beans

Serves 4 (or maybe more - we eat a lot of veggies at our house!)

Prep time: 10 minutes

I am so excited for family to begin arriving for thanksgiving, I can almost taste it! This is the most simple but delicious side of green beans - perfect for thanksgiving or any other meal. I often put it together when the turkey is resting - it’s that quick.

1 lb of green beans, washed with ends removed

4 cloves of garlic, smashed and peeled

1/4 t red pepper flakes

1T olive oil

course kosher salt

Wash green beans and cut off ends. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the smashed garlic cloves and red pepper flakes, and allow to cool for 1 minute. Remove garlic from the oil and add green beans and a pinch of kosher salt. Cook until fork tender, or about 7 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally. Remove beans from pan, then add back the garlic if you like (It will be sweet and delicious!)

Enjoy!
